Are Rachel Bilson And Mischa Barton Still Friends?
In 2003, the hit CW series, The O.C. debuted launching the careers of Adam Brody, Mischa Barton, and Rachel Bilson.
The two leading ladies played alongside one another for 3 seasons, taking on the roles of Summer Roberts, and Marissa Cooper, Orange County's very own BFFs, however, times have certainly changed!
While Mischa took a break from the limelight following the series, Rachel went on to appear in countless TV shows, all while starting a family! Following Mischa's return to showbiz on The Hills: New Beginnings, fans of the two have been dying to know, are they still friends?
Are Rachel & Mischa Still Friends?

Rachel Bilson and Mischa Barton portrayed two of the most iconic 2000s TV show characters! The duo, who played on-screen BFFs Summer and Marissa, was all anyone could talk about who watched The O.C.
While the duo appeared alongside one another for over 3 years, it turns out they weren't nearly as close as fans thought. Although there was no public feud, it seems as if things are brewing 14 years following the series' end.
Mischa Barton, who was killed off after the season 3 series finale, spoke with E! Online and revealed that there was a lot of "bullying" on-set, mainly with the men, and how Rachel Bilson's addition to the show as a full-time cast member was one of many reasons why she didn't have the best time.
When it comes to where Rachel and Mischa stand today, it has become clear the two are not friends, and possibly never have been! The industry works in a way that leads fans to believe on-screen relationships transcend off-screen, but that certainly was not the case for these two!
Rachel Bilson and Melinda Clarke, who played Mischa's on-screen mother, responded to Barton's claims regarding the toxic work environment she faced. The duo spoke immediately after news broke about Mischa's statements, and they were quite confused!
Bilson admitted she was stunned when she heard the news, saying: 'Melinda and I were talking immediately after it came out, like, "What?"
The actress, who visited Clarke on her podcast, Welcome To The O.C, B***** claims she remembers things much "differently" than Mischa did, all while saying she recognizes and respects Barton's perception, as not to negate her experience.
Tato Donovan, who returned to the series in its third season to direct an episode, revealed that the entire on-set energy shifted, and said that, "the kids on the show had developed a really bad attitude," so perhaps feuds were erupting behind the scenes!
As far claims regarding Bilson's entry as a series lead, the actress claimed that Mischa's remarks about her being added at the "last minute" were completely false!
"In one of her first comments, she said that I was added last minute after the first season, which is actually completely false and not what happened," Rachel explained.
Both Rachel and Melinda agreed that Mischa was sending "mixed messages" regarding what truly happened, which is perhaps the reason why the cast did not go on to remain friendly following Barton's exit and then after.
